conflicted feelings!!!!

GUYS, Himitsu no Arashi-chan this week had Arashi living together in a house?!?! WHO AUTHORIZED THIS AND WHY WASN'T I CONSULTED?!?!?!?!?!?! okay no of course i wouldn't be consulted that is ridiculous, i feel ridiculous

SO THE THING IS that I'm writing a huge story now where Arashi lives in a house together (mentioned in the previous post)...

WHAT DO I DO WITH THIS NEW INFORMATION? I'm only like 2/3 finished the fic!! D:

My fear is that if I watch the episode (and come on, now I have to watch it), I'll have to change huge parts of my fic because my characterization isn't right (and come on, it won't be, because fic Arashi in a house vs ACTUAL ARASHI in a house?!?! what is even the contest here). I'm in favour of improving stories to fit characterizations but guys I worked so hard on this one, I really don't want to up and rewrite the whole thing. T_____T i'm actually distraught right now

WHAT SHOULD I DO:
a) post one part of it RIGHT NOW
b) wait till I finish to post all of it, but DO NOT WATCH THE EPISODE
c) wait till I finish to post all of it, and WATCH THE EPISODE, and fix what needs to be fixed
d) curl up in a ball and cry a bit
e) this is not a big deal, you are crazy

EDIT: okay so i'm watching the episode now unsubbed but it's only Nino, Jun and a guest (I love Ueto Aya, she is goooorgeous) so that is not...as bad as I'd thought? Bad, as in, "toppling the Jenga game of my fic TO THE GROUND." Okay, um. Yeah, I will still need to think on things.

Hi there! It’s funny because today I also found out about the new corner on himitsu and I immediately thought of my prompt and wondered if you also knew about it so I stumbled on your lj and saw that you were already panicking over this ^^; So I just wanted to say, DON’T WORRY ABOUT IT! :D In my honest opinion, this doesn’t have to interfere with the fic at all because the corner is just that, a part of a show so it’s different than Arashi actually living together in a hypothetical future (and without extra guests like the corner of himitsu). As far as characterization goes, if you want to get inspiration from the corner, it’s cool and I’m sure I’ll like it, but you don’t have to force yourself to change big chunks of your story even if it’s different because, and I’m repeating myself, the corner is just for show as well and the fic is set in the future anyways so who says they can’t react a little differently with a few extra years on them ;) I’ve always loved your characterization of Arashi, so I’m sure you’re gonna pull through this very very well. You can either pretend that they decided to live together in the future because they liked this corner they did on himitsu, or not mention this corner at all and I can pretend it simply never existed in the timeline of the fic (I’m very good at this). Whichever works best for you.

I just feel bad that you are stressing so much because of my prompt and I’m happy that you seem to have liked my prompt so far and worked so hard on it. So I hope I have been at least a little bit encouraging and I’m sure I’ll love your fic, whatever direction you take it :D

(Btw, I saw on your profile that you’re located in Canada and I live in Montreal myself so I was wondering what part of Canada you’re from if you don’t mind me asking :)

It belatedly occurs to me now that I should have contacted you directly and asked your opinion about the matter, because in the end, the fic is for you! So thank goodness you found me here instead! Everything you said reassures me so much, omg ;A; And you're right -- after watching the segment, it really isn't that "homey" after all, which is a huge relief. I'm going to have to ask you to pretend that the segment never happened, okay!!

Thank you very much for the reassurances, really, really. I can't explain why I reacted so intensely about this, other than I really am enjoying myself writing this story, and felt threatened from the show, haha... in any case, your prompt makes me very happy, so I hope the fic makes you happy too. :) I've posted part 1 on my journal now, here (http://primrosegallery.livejournal.com/10024.html), if you want to read it! Now I’m the one conflicted about this! Should I read it now or wait for the whole thing, I seriously don’t know!! My heart tells me I should wait because I like reading stories in a single shot, but I don’t know if I can hold back! But if I start reading, I’ll want to read the rest but I won’t be able to xD; gaaaaaah

Ok, let’s say I’ll wait for the whole fic for now (but please don’t feel rushed because of me ^^; take all the time you need to complete it) tough I might not even hold out the week-end.

(And wow, you’re from Montreal too! I seriously didn’t expect that because the Canadian fans I’ve met on lj so far were mostly… well, not from Montreal. But no, seriously, I can’t believe you’re actually so close! I totally had to convert my RL friends into Arashi fans by shoving my video collection down their throat to not feel like I’m the only Arashi fan here haha xD Where have you gone to school? Hold off reading it then! I'm like you too, WIPs are slow torture for me to get through, and that's partly why I prefer posting a finished fic all at once. Broke my rule for this fic, but hopefully I've made enough headway at the rest of the story that subsequent chapters are not too too long of a wait!

(Yeah, it's huge coincidence! Small world, right? I'm not originally from Montreal, I'm just here at McGill for school actually. SO MY FRENCH IS ACTUALLY TRES SHITTY lmao. Are you schooling here too?
