You say I have a low attention span?

This week looks to be really busy with work and miscellaneous things, but I'm doing my best with my entry for the fic contest at sei_shoku! Shit on a stick, deadline is in a week! Ugh, I need a pause button for my life.

Here's something that I scrapped pretty early on.


Everyone knew that Nino and Ohno were together. Not together in the conventional sense of buying roses and arranging dates and blushing when reaching for the same thing at the same time, but together, like the our-souls-match-and-we-are-basically-two-halves-of-a-whole together. Soul mates might be too romantic a classification too, but they were something close to that, with a lot less finishing each other's sentences and a lot more butt groping. Maybe they defied classification entirely; anyway, what they were was besides the point. The point was that they were together, and had been for years, and Sho got that. Sho - in fact, anyone - would have to be a moron not to get it.

The whole nation recognized Ohno and Nino's quote-on-quote relationship. It really was a good thing that the two of them had going. They were free to touch each other as much as they pleased, they were free to stand a bit apart from the rest of Arashi if they so chose (not often that they did, but not never, either), and there was the whole metaphorical boner that management had for them (or rather, the fangirl devotion they inspired and the subsequent cash flow it led to) which had allowed them to continue their Ohmiya SK skits for an audience of tens of thousands. When Sho thinks back to the days before Ohmiya SK was formed, before Ohno had even been dubbed Leader of Arashi, back to when all five of them were pretty much the same height - it was a very distant memory, to say the least. It was hard to imagine that a time existed when Nino and Ohno had not been joined at the hip.

But it had existed. Back then, Nino and Ohno didn't have each other. But they both had Sho.

HEY! Time for some Truth or Dare!

TRUTH, you say? HMMMM.

Truth: I am half asleep as I type this and I do not not not want to go to work tomorrow.

Truth: I haven't written anything in a while, perhaps many of you have noticed this. I have a few things I'm working on, but none of them are even halfway done. I am kind of in a rut in that I will write a few paragraphs I think are okay, and then everything just deteriorates from there and then I get too angry to try to fix things and then I just sit at my desk and hate myself and think I deserve to be beaten with a sense stick. I KNOW. It is very emo and I am ashamed of myself too. I'm trying to get something out soon, but it's a battle between me and it and I am not winning.

Truth: I did participate in the Anon Meme but what I was actually hoping for was good, honest feedback about my writing because I want to improve and write as well as some of the other authors I know. Thank you to everyone who did comment for me, you guys really helped me a lot. But I was not aware that things like THIS FOLLOWING MEME existed.

Heeeey. Okay! So here was my entry for the drabble contest over at ohmiya. I got last place guys, and I have to say I deserved it, lol. I pretty much wrote the drabbles in less than an hour, just to beat the deadline. OTL OTL OTL. I felt really ashamed of myself as I was submitting, but there! Lesson learned, I suppose! Also all of the entries were super good so even had I spent more time on them I am sure I wouldn't have won. also maybe i was kind of venting my RL frustrations through the fic uuuugh sorry about that D: D: D: someone should kick me

I mean. SORRY GUYS. I fell of the face of the earth for a while there, but you might be pleased to know that I am back and still retain function in all of my limbs. Just so you know, this last chapter nearly killed me. I rewrote it a total of seven times (not all of it, but most of it) before I finally found a plot I was happy with; you are reading attempt number eight. If you perhaps gain a semblance of happiness from this chapter, I would be so thankful, like, "oh my goodness my baby is alright" level of thankful. I think maaaaybe I will take a break from writing long things for a while. Can you blame me?! (A: yes.)

EDIT: GOD FLIST STOP BEING SO FUCKING AWESOME WHILE PEOPLE ARE AWAY OKAY, SOME OF US CAN'T HANDLE IT need to comment on so many things orz orz will have to wait for another time orzzzz

Notes: Sorry this is a bit late guys, I got stuck in a wormhole and had to fight my way back to present day from the Mesozoic era. Also sorry if there are any glaring errors; I made a few changes here and there but I'm not at my most alert right now, I could have written about dinosaurs for all I know. Why am I thinking about dinosaurs so much.

HI EVERYONE. So perhaps I will be in and out (mostly out) this week like a pesky, invisible mosquito. I want to spam a lot of awesome people (including you! yes you!) but RL is clawing at me for attention and if I ignore it any longer, I fear that my wounds will require medical attention.

In the meantime, here is a fic.

Title: This Might Have Been Easier Without the Death Ray
Rating: PG-13 for swearing
Warnings: THE STORYLINE IS KIND OF WEIRD, MAYBE.
Pairing: Ohmiya, but it's not the focus.
Summary: A story of the hilarious tragedy that is Ninomiya's life: trying to balance out school, love, stigma, arch-nemeses, and not really taking over the world city.
Genre: College AU? I... really don't know how to classify it.
Notes: a) Japan doesn't have Chancellors, I know, but "Prime Ministers" just didn't have the same ring to it. Maybe the setting isn't even Japan! As was pointed out by oviparous , the fic has a decidedly North American feel to it. I call artistic license? b) All information about lasers was obtained through browsing Wikipedia. I'm not scientist! (If this was not already obvious.) The laser in question is a hydrogen fluoride laser. c) I actually started writing this fic for the Valentine's Contest at ohmiyaday. OTL I stopped when I realized that the longer it got, the less Ohmiya it contained. That was probably the wisest decision I have ever made in my life. Anyway, this is for pink_tofu  and fluttering, who organized the contest and are therefore the reasons for this story's existence in the first place.

Sorry sorry everyone for so much spam from me, I do not do it (very) intentionally. I was about start cramming but everyone was extremely excited about Believe PV, Kumori Nochi PV, and Ohno's amazing performance on MusicStation, so how could I resist? Something akin to an atomic bomb exploded inside myself while I was watching him, guys. 

Result of overflowing love for Ohno: I wrote something. It was entirely spontaneous and finished quickly and goodness knows what prompted me to post it right after I wrote it, but it looks like I am just having a "to hell with it!" kind of day. To hell with you, grades! To hell with you, editting! To hell with you, title! You heard me! Title yourself!

Dear Mr. Clint Eastwood,

Please direct a movie starring Sean Penn and Ninomiya Kazunari. You have worked with both of them in the past, and both their movies have earned you many awards and accolades; moreover, the two of them are extremely versatile actors who I am sure will be superb in whatever story you choose to tell. I do not think this is a bad idea, Mr. Clint Eastwood. Please give this serious consideration.
